What this means to Infor ERP LN customers:
Infor will provide the following options for our customers impacted by the IBM Informix database end of life support dates. Infor professional services are available to explore each of these options currently available to our Infor ERP LN customers.

  1. Field certifications for customers who wish to remain on the current release of their Infor ERP LN product, but want to upgrade their Informix database to Informix v11 in order to stay current with their Informix database support.
  2. Migration to a non-Informix database platform supported by the current release of their Infor ERP LN  solution. Options in this case are IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  3. Upgrade to a release of Infor ERP LN software that supports Informix v11 

Infor has secured additional discounting from IBM for a limited period of time for existing Informix v7 customers who move to Informix v11.
 
Infor will continue to support our ERP LN customers with current Infor support agreements with respect to relevant and applicable Infor ERP LN issues. Infor does not currently expect material issues with Infor ERP LN certified operating systems and databases. Please see your product documentation to validate the certified platforms.
 
As it relates to the software documentation, each applicable issue reported against base functionality will be investigated via normal Infor support procedures. If a reported applicable issue can be recreated on a certified platform it will be addressed by product development and the appropriate patches will be made available to those Infor ERP LN customers with current Infor support agreements.

In the rare event that an issue is caused by an Informix database platform at a date which is 

past the end of life support date provided by IBM, Infor may be unable to address the problem, as a result of IBM's end of life support policy.
